Q: How can I join the Steam Next Fest?
A: To participate in the Steam Next Fest, go to the Nine to Five Steam page and press "Download Nine To Five Demo". The download will be possible after the Next Fest starts.
Q: When is the Steam Next Fest?
A: The Steam Next Fest starts on Wednesday, June 16 at 7 PM CEST (10 AM PT, 1 PM ET) and will run until Monday, June 22, 7 PM CEST (10 AM PT, 1 PM ET).
Q: What can we expect out of the tests?
A: During this event we will continue to focus on gameplay mechanics, like game modes, maps and shooting, while skipping the metagame. Therefore, there will be no corporation progression or weapon crafting. To compensate that we are offering the Starter Pack with 6 weapons, 3 armor sets, multiple items, A.S.S and drone abilities unlocked from the start. You can find more about it here: Starter Pack (Weapons & Armor).
Q: Will the unlocked weapons, loadouts or credits from any previous tests (e.g. Beta Weekend 1 or 2) be available at the start of the event?
Q: Is that all the toys we’ll be playing with?
A: We open the shop, where you can find 9 more weapons and 8 more armor sets to purchase. You will earn credits after every match completed and the prices will be like Black Friday, so you will get more if you want. You can find all items sold here: Shop.
Q: Is it possible to create custom games?
A: As for now there is just regular matchmaking, however we are definitely thinking about such feature for the future releases.
Q: Why I join the game in the middle of the on-going match (in Round 2 or Round 3)?
A: The reason behind it is we’ve introduced the back-fill mechanic. It means that you may replace a player who disconnected from the on-going match, so the chances in upcoming rounds are fair. The advantage is you join the game faster than waiting for other players available to start a full match.
Q: What is the release date?
A: We're still developing the game and with Steam Next Fest happening we'll receive more feedback and directions to lead the game into its final stage. We don't want to promise any dates, so we're asking you for little more patience and simply enjoy the upcoming week-long event!
Q: Is the game available on consoles? Or will it be released in the future?
A: As we would love to make our game available to wider audience, we are currently fully dedicated on providing the best possible experience on PC, therefore no other platforms are available at this point. We will look into expanding to the other systems on a case by case in the future.
Q: Any major changes from previous tests?
A: Yes, we've implemented some changes and fixes since Beta Weekend 2. Here’s a little list:
- New Weapons - highly required Merlin LMG and a secondary weapon shotgun - Double Barreled "Old Salty"
- Introduced weapon balance for The Canary SMG, "Old Patchy" and reworked hip fire
- New armor set (Juggernaut) and decreased standard armor sets durability.
- Swapped item categories for certain armor sets (no more grenade/medkit combos)
- Item balance, e.g. turret has slower fire rate and accuracy, medkit revives longer and only one player, less tripmines avaialable
- Fixed a bunch of issues and bugs.
