Progression
Nine to Five offers a single freelance mercenary progression system. You can check our overview through all of the metagame aspects in the video below:
Right after the initial tutorials, you will start to gather XP points for every match played (kills, assists, support actions, everything except objectives). With every level gained you receive rewards, e.g. Credits, Components, Weapon Parts.
More to that, getting experience in the job and leveling up will allow you to achieve a higher Job Title. Every promotion provides additional rewards as well as unlocking new reward qualities. That means the possibility of getting better hacking codes from rewards.
There are 5 qualities available: FAIR, GOOD, EXCEPTIONAL,BRILLIANT and MINT.

Note: In addition to the rewards mentioned in the table above all level-ups always provide players with Credits and Components.
Daily Tasks
Every single match challenges the players with its unique narrative and objectives, thus making the player search for the suitable strategy and playstyle. On the other hand, players’ choice may be also affected by the task selection.
Tasks are the daily missions with their own set of goals to accomplish. Picking and completing them is the core part of the metagame in Nine to Five. They provide an extra angle to the overall approach and can grant the player with extra rewards.
Each day there are 5 tasks available to be selected over the course of the day:
- 4 non-repeatable tasks are unique rolls from the list above
- 1 repeatable task with “Earn X credits” objective (it allows you to choose the weapon for the parts/hacking codes rewards).
Players can activate up to 3 tasks at the time. Once activated, they don’t have a completion timer, meaning that as long you have them picked you can still complete them. Tasks also can be deactivated at any time (task progress resets) and different can be selected from the current daily pool.
On weekends there is an extra 6th non-repeatable task added to the pool. It is available to activate from Friday morning (10.00 UTC) until Monday morning (10:00 UTC).
Task rewards
Each Task, beside the defined objective, gives the player information about the expected reward.
Completing the Weekend Task grants the player a certain weapon, while Daily tasks rewards are Hacking Code or Weapon Parts.
When selecting Daily tasks you will assign potential reward to one of the available weapons. You can choose weapons you already have or start gathering parts and codes for future use.
Please note that the quality of the hacking code is tied to your current Job Title.
It is possible to reroll the rewards from Tasks (except the Weekend Tasks) using the matching Corporation’s Components. E.g. if you receive Weapon Part from Old Patchy, you’ll need to use Mash Media Components to reroll it. The reroll cost increases with the player’s job title. Players can reroll rewards multiple times as long as they have the necessary Components.
- You can read how to get Components in here: Resources
Events
On top of performing daily and weekend tasks, players participate in special events. These are time-limited activities with their own set of objectives to fulfill. Being time-restricted events provide really unique rewards, including customized weapons and armor skins.
Details of the ongoing event can be found in the ‘Events’ tab in ‘Tasks’ menu.
Shorter events usually carry over weekends, while the longest can last for over a week.
Contrary to the tasks, you don't need to manually choose the objectives, however there are various ways they activate. Sometimes they are all available from the start, other times they are chained together, where completing one objective unlocks another one. On occasions the objectives will have its own activation timer within the event, e.g. becoming available on the last day of the event.
